QCast Appeals & Complaints

Complaint & Appeal Handling

For appeals or complaints related to the QCast Certification Program, the QCast Staff investigates the appeal or complaint and proposes a resolution. The appeal process has two stages for resolving disagreements.

The first stage requires that the participating plant submit substantiating information to ACPA within 20 working days of receiving the audit report in question. QCast Staff will review and re-evaluate the audit findings and send the results of the appeal to the plant within 15 working days of the receipt of the plant's substantiating information. If the complainant or appellant is not satisfied with the resolution, a second appeal (second stage) shall be submitted within 5 working days of receiving stage 1 appeal results. The plant shall remain certified through the appeal process. The second appeal shall be referred to the Plant Certification Adjudication Task Group. The Plant Certification Adjudication Task Group will evaluate the appeal for a final resolution. A formal notice will be sent to the complainant or appellant.
